New Website Project Timeline


BSD Website History

  • August 2015 – BSD’s current WordPress websites are launched.
  • April 2018 – BSD signs a resolution agreement with the United States Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights (OCR) that the district will establish a plan to ensure that all new online content and functionality developed, procured, or used after the date of this agreement will be fully accessible to individuals with disabilities.
  • June 2019Policy 0130, Equity and Accountability is established, recognizing a need for equitable access to information and a commitment to addressing inequities and biases toward students and families whose voice or access has been marginalized.
  • December 2019Policy 4218 Language Access Plan is established, stating that the district will provide written translation of vital documents for identified languages, as needed, in alignment with the strategic plan.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
