The following bus routes will not be running due to driver availability tomorrow, January 27.
63 – serving Newport HS, International School, and Big Picture School.
17 – serving Bellevue HS, International School, and Big Picture School.
10 – serving Clyde Hill ES and Spiritridge ES.
All other bus routes servicing these schools will run normally as scheduled.

Congratulations to the drama programs at Newport and Sammamish high schools for being recognized by the 2015 Fifth Avenue Awards honoring high school musical theater.  This year judges viewed 104 productions.  The winners will be announced on June 8.

Newport High School performed Tarzan and received four honorable mentions for: Outstanding Direction, Outstanding Costume Design, Outstanding Lobby Design and Outstanding Performance by an Actor/Actress in a Non-Singing Role by freshman Connor McKenna as Clayton.

Students at Sammamish had two nominees and one honorable mention for their performance of The Sound of Music.  Junior Caetlyn Conklin as Elsa received an honorable mention for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Support Role.  Senior Sada Adams is a nominee for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Featured Ensemble Role.  She played Sister Margaretta in the show.  Sophomore Chloe Bechtold is a nominee for Outstanding Performance by an Actor/Actress in a Non-Singing Role for her performance as Frau Schmidt.
