Sammamish students began the year in the new, three story academic space integrated with the existing Performing Arts Center. Construction for phase two will continue throughout the year, with partial demolition of existing structures and construction of the new student dining commons. Upon completion of the dining commons, construction will take place on the new athletic complex consisting of new gyms, PE studios and locker room spaces. Final demolition of the existing gym, reconstruction of some of the athletic fields, glass studios and parking lots will complete the project mid-2017. Read more about Sammamish’s new facility…
Odle’s second year of construction is well underway. The contractor is working on sealing the exterior envelope and roofing is ongoing. The new parking lot is being shaped, and the new multipurpose turf field and new soccer field are being constructed. Onsite wetlands are being restored and plantings are expected this fall. At Enatai, geothermal wells are being drilled that will provide the heating and cooling for the school. A large storm water detention vault is being built under the new parking lot in the southeast corner of the site. Most of the footing and foundations for the west classroom wing are complete.
