Big Picture teacher and advisor Kaarina Aufranc was named a Symetra Hero in the Classroom by Symetra and the Seattle Seahawks last week.  She was presented her award at a surprise school assembly.

Aufranc received $1,000 for classroom books and supplies, along with tickets to the Nov. 29 Seahawks home game against the Pittsburg Steelers.

Symetra Heroes in the Classroom program honors 16 K-12 teachers in the Puget Sound region during the 2015 NFL season, based on the teacher’s educational excellence.
