Congratulations to Kay Evans, a fifth grade student at Somerset who placed 4th, in the 3rd-5th grade division of the World Affairs Council essay contest.  Essay submissions were focused on worldwide water crises.

Evan’s winning essay is titled “A Biological Solution for Clean Water and Abundant Fuels.”  She will be celebrated, along with other student winners, at an awards ceremony on May 5 at Hamilton International Middle School.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
