Congratulations to Bellevue High junior Julia Dai who was selected to compete in the Nature Valley First Tee Open Sept. 13-18 at Pebble Beach.

Dai is among 81 high school juniors from around the country selected by a national panel of judges and selected to compete based on playing ability and comprehension of the life skills and character education learned through their involvement with The First Tee.

The First Tee Open is an official PGA Tour Champions event where competitors will be teamed with PGA Tour champions and amateurs as they compete for the pro-junior title.

“Being able to play in The Nature Valley First Tee Open is honestly a dream come true, in every meaning of the phrase,” Dai said in a press release. “I’m excited to meet all of the other inspirational First Tee participants from across the country, and hopefully play my best golf with some of the best golf professionals out there.”
