Congratulations to Sammamish junior Brennan Weber on earning his Eagle Scout.  To accomplish this Weber put in hundreds of volunteer hours, earned 28 merit badges,  held a number of leadership positions with his troop and advanced in ranks several times, along with completing his Eagle Scout project: rebuilding benches, a dumpster enclosure and fire pit at his church, Pilgrim Lutheran, in Bellevue.  Weber became the 121st Eagle Scout for Bellevue Troop 438.

During Weber’s scouting journey last year, he summited several mountains in the area including the 12,281-foot Mt. Adams, in preparation for his backpack trip to northern New Mexico’s Philmont Scout Ranch.  Weber backpacked 120 miles over a 12-day span, carrying a 45 lb pack.

Weber plans to use what he’s learned in his journey to be an outstanding citizen, leader in his community and continue serving others.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
