Update: Congratulations again to siblings Grace and John Lee who won gold and bronze medals, respectively at the 2016-17 U.S. National Short Track Speed Skating Championship in March at Midland, Michigan.
Congratulations to siblings Grace Lee and John Lee who won medals at the 2016-2017 U.S. National Long Track Speed Skating Championship in February at Lake Placid, New York.
Grace is a fifth grade student at Eastgate Elementary. She placed first, earning herself a gold medal in her age class of 10 years or younger. John is a freshman at Newport High School and he earned a silver medal in the Junior C Men class.
Each competitor at the Championship ran five distances and may have run more depending on semi and quarter finals. Medals were awarded based on total points earned during each race.
