Congratulations to five Bellevue teams for representing Washington state at the Destination Imagination 2017 Global Finals in Knoxville, Tennessee. 

The team “5 Star Friends” which is made up of Medina Elementary students Jordan Lloyd, Neha Mukhara, Lexi Neff and two area youth earned 2nd place in the Service Learning/Project Outreach Challenge. They were coached by Bellevue HS sophomore Jacqueline Niles and parent Melissa Lloyd.

The “DIY Team,” which included several members from Medina,  earned 6th place in the Improvisational Challenge. They were coached by Dr. Aisha Simon.

Other district teams that represented the state in Knoxville included “Power Pack” (Odle and Chinook Middle Schools), “Dudes with Awesome Shades” (Bellevue High School/Independent) and “Karing Kids” (Medina Elementary).
