Congratulations to Newport senior William Zhou, who won second place for his editorial piece, Voiceless Children, depicting decades of war and internal conflict in Cambodia at the International Photography Awards 2017 contest.  The photo series tells stories of young Cambodian children deprived of expression and were taken in the province Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Zhou also received an Honorable Mention in the night photography category for his piece, The Rain, taken during the Perseid meteor shower in the trail of comet Swift-Tuttle near the Mt. Rainier Sunrise Visitor Center.
