Kudos to Interlake Junior Aum Upadhyay for continuing his mission of building up the next generation by organizing Buzz Bowl events in the district and raising funds for the Bellevue Schools Foundation.

Buzz Bowl is a buzzer game of science and math questions designed to promote early learning of advanced science concepts in elementary and middle school. Upadhyay’s organization, Science for Community, recently donated $2,500 raised from the fourth Buzz Bowl event which was held on Jan. 27 to the Bellevue Schools Foundation.

Upadhyay says he is inspired by Bellevue School District’s after-school programs that encourage students to aim high and have fun while learning. This makes him truly committed to paying it forward.

“However small it may be, I want to play my part in building a stronger future generation while giving back to the Foundation and community that has made me, ” said Upadhyay.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
