Congratulations to Woodridge Principal Nicole Hepworth on being named Regional Principal of the Year for the East King Region by the Association of Washington School Principals (AWSP) and its Elementary School Principals Association of Washington board!

This year marks Hepworth’s 20th year with the Bellevue School District, and fifth year at Woodridge.

“My absolute favorite thing is working as a team with the adults and students and seeing students learn and grow as a result!” Hepworth said. “Our kids are amazing, our staff is committed, and our parent community is incredibly supportive.”

A group of Hepworth’s peers selected her for her dedication to and support of students and staff, as well as her engagement with the school community. She will be honored at the AWSP summer conference in Spokane in June.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
