The girls Swim and Dive State Champion teams from Newport (4A) and Bellevue High (3A) were honored at Safeco Field at the March 31 Seattle Mariners game.

The Mariners public announcer recognized the two teams along with other state champion teams from fall season athletics on the field before the Mariners played the Cleveland Indians. The Newport Knights won the 4A title with 334 points and the Bellevue Wolverines won the 3A title with 281 points.
