Congratulations to Bellevue High senior Luke Walker who won gold in Automotive Service at the SkillsUSA Washington State Leadership and Skills Conference!

The conference and competition was held April 19 – 21 in Yakima, WA. Regional winners were invited to take written test, a skills information test, and compete in six hands-on automotive stations. As the state winner, Walker will compete at the national competition this June in Kentucky.

Walker, who started in the automotive program at Bellevue High as a freshman, currently serves as shop foreman and manager and has over 1,700 hours of automotive training.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
