Did you know that several BSD schools participate in a food share program in partnership with Hopelink and the Environmental Protection Agency where uneaten food items like milk and fruit are donated to Hopelink’s food bank?

The program prevents and minimizes food waste at four BSD elementary schools: Puesta del Sol, Lake Hills, Spiritridge, and Woodridge.

Uneaten prepackaged and sealed items are collected and sorted with the help of school staff as well as student Green Team members.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
