The Bellevue School District is establishing a Growth & Planning Community Advisory Group to develop a long-term facility strategy for the district, informed by enrollment trends, community expectations and district program needs. The facility strategy will align with the District’s upcoming 5-year strategic plan and propose infrastructure changes to meet the needs of our schools and the broader community.

We are looking for twelve parents to join this advisory group. Parents will be selected to represent a cross-section of schools, grade-levels, BSD programs, and geographic areas of our district. You do not need to have expertise in real estate, finance, or construction to apply as a parent representative.

Members of the advisory group must commit to attending all sessions held over the 16 months of the group’s tenure. Currently, we expect the group to meet monthly for 2 hours in the evening, between June 2018 and September 2019, with no meetings expected in July of 2018 or 2019. The first meeting will take place on June 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with the second meeting being held in late August.

If you’re interested in helping us plan for BSD’s future, please apply for consideration no later than June 1. We will notify parents who have been selected to serve no later than June 12.  If you have any questions, please email [email protected].

This survey closed on June 1, 2018. Thank you for taking time to give us your feedback.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
