At the June 5, 2018 School Board meeting, following an extensive review, the board voted to move high school start times for the 2018-2019 school year to 8:00 AM for BSD’s four comprehensive high schools. The following recommendations by the district were approved by the school board and will take effect for the 2018-19 school year:

  • Move the half-hour tutorial from the beginning of the school day (8:00 AM – 8:30 AM) to the end of the school day (from 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM) for comprehensive high schools.
  • Maintain the current schedule at the two choice high schools (Big Picture and International).
