This season Monastyrska participated in several local and national competitions and attended a camp at the Olympic Gymnastic Center. Her intensive training in ball, rope, hoop, clubs, ribbon and floor events helped her earn 1st place with clubs, 3rd place with ball, 4th with hoop and floor, and 3rd in all around at the Washington State Championship.

Monastyrska competed at Regionals  (Washington, Colorado, Oregon and Hawaii) where she qualified for Nationals with a 1st place with ball, 4th place with hoop and 7th place all around.

Rhythmic Gymnastics is an elegant and demanding Olympic sport that requires many hours of training with her coach, Ludmila Polivanova, a 2016 Uzbekistan’s Olympic Team head coach. Monastyrska balances her achievements in gymnastics with her school work thanks to the support of her family and her fifth grade teacher, Susan Kaminoff.
