Update: the requested waiver for the three missed school days due to snow was approved. The last day of school for the 2018-19 school year is Friday, June 21.
Missed school days due to snow – five total in February – will result in the school year being extended by one day. The last day of school for the Bellevue School District will be Friday, June 21.
One additional makeup day will also be added on Friday, March 15. The day was originally a planned professional development day for teachers, but all students will now be expected to attend school that day.
The district will request a waiver from the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction for the remaining three missed school days due to snow. Additional days could still be added pending approval by the state of the district waiver request.
