Bellevue School District is leading the way with computer science education to affirm and inspire each and every student to learn and thrive as creators of their future world.
This year, students at Ardmore, Lake Hills, Sherwood Forest, Stevenson, and Wilburton are engaged in computer science and computational thinking during the school day on a weekly basis! As a part of our district’s commitment to high-quality instruction, these five schools now have a K-5 computer science teacher. Students are creating with code, collaborating to program robots, and using computational thinking to solve problems.
The integration of computer science into the elementary classrooms is a commitment to High-Quality Instruction – a priority in our Strategic Plan. We have committed to offering an integrated Computer Science curriculum for each and every student that applies computational thinking, programming, and physical computing to analyze new problems, build predictive models, and create innovative solutions.
The ongoing commitment from the Bellevue Schools Foundation is an important partnership in making Computer Science for All a reality in the Bellevue School District.
