volunteers assembling take-home meals for kids

Every weekend, there are students in Bellevue that don’t have enough to eat. Backpack Meals for Kids has been actively working to address this need for more than eight years. In the 2018-19 school year, students in all 29 Bellevue schools received over 11,000 weekend meals collectively through their program! 30 volunteers regularly give their time and energy to make sure that our most vulnerable students are served through this program.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
