Bellevue School District schools will be closed from March 13 through April 24. Learn about free meals for kids and teens, learning resources, childcare, and student technology assistance on our Coronavirus (COVID-19) page.

On February 25, Bellevue School District families will receive an email with a link to take our Family Engagement Survey. As a district, engaging families and helping them become active partners with their schools are important goals in our current Strategic Plan. We know that students do better in school when their families are engaged in their education. That is why we want to hear from families across the district about their experiences and views.

Creating a partnership between families, schools and the community starts with you. We need families to respond to the survey in order to understand how the district and schools can better support parents. Based on the feedback, the district and schools can create tools and unique strategies to promote student well-being and success. The survey is administered by Panorama Education, an outside organization that will collect and combine the responses and remove any personal information. The information the Bellevue School District receives will not include names, grades or teachers or any other identifying information. The survey is only a handful of questions and should take a few minutes to complete.

Creating meaningful partnerships with parents and families helps students succeed both academically and socially. When families engage, student attitudes and behavior are more positive, attendance is better and there are more opportunities to honor diverse cultural backgrounds. Communication and collaboration between families and schools allows us to learn from each other and for us to serve our students better.
