Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to have insurance? What is the out of pocket cost?

You do not need to have insurance to participate. For uninsured patients, SVNA has a grant from King County that will cover the full cost of your immunization. If you do have insurance, please provide that information during registration. There will never be a cost to a patient to receive a flu shot, with or without insurance.

Which insurance plans are accepted?

The following insurance plans are accepted:

Aetna

Blue Cross Blue Shield

Cigna

Tricare West

Premera Blue Cross

First Choice

Kaiser Permanente

Regence Blue Shield (including Healthcare Management Administrator and Regence Group Administrators)

United Healthcare

Medicare

Medicaid/Apple Health plans (Coordinated Care, Community Health Plan, Molina, United Community Plan, and Amerigroup)

How do I make an appointment?

To register, please visit the scheduling link. Click here.

When signing up, you will select a 15-minute time slot in which to receive your immunization. We encourage everyone to begin at the beginning of your scheduled window. Please make a separate appointment for each family member, in their name.

Are there age restrictions?

SVNA can provide influenza vaccinations to participants ages four years old and older. For children 17 years old and younger, the parent or legal guardian must provide their consent via an electronic signature when registering.

What happens if I miss my appointment? Can I reschedule or cancel?

If you cannot make your appointment, or you miss your appointment, please cancel or reschedule using the information in the confirmation email you receive after your initial registration.

What do I need to have with me for my appointment?

Please bring your current insurance card, if you have insurance. Wear short-sleeved clothing on the day of your appointment and remember that face coverings will be required.

Can I bring family members or other people with me for my appointment?

Yes, family/household members are welcome to attend. You can bring family members or other participants in your car, but please schedule them. Every family member needs their own registration in their own name. There are multiple appointments available in each time slot. For example, a family of four will need four separate registrations. If a time slot fills up before all family members can register, please register the remaining family members in the nearest available slot. All family members can still come to the drive-thru clinic at the same time.

Which vaccines do you provide?

SVNA provides the standard Quadrivalent (four strain) vaccine. The nurses carry a small amount of Thimerosal-Free (preservative free) vaccine which we offer to those who are pregnant. SVSA does not offer the high dose vaccine for those over 65 years old, flu mist (nasal spray), or pneumonia vaccine.
