Dear Bellevue Community,

The BSD and BEA bargaining team members met all weekend long working through important issues. We have made significant progress and have reached agreement on all of our key items we addressed at the table. With over a dozen pages of language, we will finish our work tomorrow to have a final product.

As a result we reached a joint decision that, school for Monday, January 25 is cancelled. This includes all grade levels, preschool through 12. We understand the challenge this may provide for our students and families. We are committed to making up lost instructional time. This instructional day will be made up on March 19, 2021.

The school-age BOOST Childcare and Bellevue Boys & Girls Club will serve participating families; and Nutrition Services grab and go and preorder meal deliveries will continue uninterrupted.

Tomorrow certified staff and BEA will have time to review the Agreement. District administrators will be able to review the agreement as well.

Upon ratification of the agreement by the Association, the District and Association will release the contents of the agreement.

We appreciate our educators, staff and families.
