Congratulations to International School for receiving the AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award! Studying computer science can open doors for students and giving them the tools to excel. College Board is honoring schools for expanding young women’s access to AP computer science classes and for the important steps they’re taking to reach gender parity.

Schools receiving the AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award have achieved either 50 percent or higher female exam taker representation in one or of both AP computer science courses, or a percentage of female computer science exam takers that meets or exceeds that of the school’s female population. International School is one of 1,119 schools across the nation being recognized for their work toward equal gender representation during the 2019-20 school year. The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
