At its regularly scheduled board meeting on Tuesday, April 6, 2021,  The Board passed resolution 2021-04-06, “To Continue to Increase In-Person Services to Support Students and Families.”

The resolution focuses on three outcomes, and instructs the Superintendent to:

  • Continue the work already begun with the Bellevue Education Association and other stakeholders to provide in-person instruction through implementation of the current March 26 MOU.
  • Enable in-person instructional opportunities the week of April 19, 2021 to allow educators who wish to instruct in-person to do so.
  • Continue increasing towards maximum capacity and frequency of on-campus, in-person instruction that our schools can provide while applicable health and safety recommendations and requirements, to begin as soon as possible but no later than April 26, 2021.

This resolution will build on the work that began in January with the in-person return of our youngest learners, and the staggered transition for the remainder of elementary and secondary students choosing to return, this week.
