Bellevue School District is asking voters to consider renewing two important levies in the February 8, 2022 election. Education levies help maintain high-quality academics, teachers and facilities so our schools continue to thrive. These levy renewals would continue funding for critical day-to-day operations and programs in our schools to ensure every Bellevue student can be a creator of their future world.

There is a gap between what the state considers basic education and provides funding for, and what our students need and deserve. Funding from the Educational Programs and Operations Levy renewal supports our students by continuing funding for staff for special education, advanced learning, AP classes and STEM programs.

The Technology and Capital Projects Levy maintains and updates our student technology and school buildings, so our learning environments are secure and up to date. Student and staff computers and technology updates are funded by the levy. This levy also funds maintenance and repairs to our amazing facilities. Costs to fix and replace carpeting, roofing, and heating and cooling systems are paid for with levy funding.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
