Summer Programs
BSD offers summer programming for K-12 students including:

Free Summer Meals
Children 18 and younger are welcome to participate in the free summer meal program offered by Nutrition Services. The summer meal program provides free, nutritious meals to help children get the nutrition they need to learn, play and grow. Summer meals will be offered at Lake Hills Elementary and Sammamish High school.

Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing
BSD offers drive-thru diagnostic PCR testing for BSD students and employees who show symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19. Drive-thru testing will remain open at ESC West throughout the summer.

Summer Learning Resources
The Teaching and Learning Department hopes that you find time to reconnect and recharge this summer. For parents and families looking for district recommended academic and social emotional supports, OneNotes by grade level and content area are accessible to you. The recommended resources and activities include digital and non-digital options. We invite you to dive in!
Summer Math
Research shows that students develop new math understanding by connecting rich classroom experience to prior understanding and then reflecting on their thinking.
Family Connections Centers
The Bellevue School District is committed to affirming and supporting all families and students. Our Family Connections Centers (FCCs) are open to all BSD students and families. Staffed by Family Engagement Specialists, their mission is to connect families with district and community support services, provide them with educational opportunities to better navigate the school system and help them become engaged in the education of their children.
Family Engagement Specialists (FES) are here to help families find and receive the services they need to send their children to school ready to learn. These services range from emergency food boxes to a student’s first new pair of sneakers, to English classes for parents. In addition, an FES provides information and referral services connecting families with counselors, food and utility assistance programs, and free or reduced health care information and programs.
Two Family Connections Centers will be open throughout the summer to support any BSD family:

Community Partnerships – Childcare & Summer Camps
BSD partners with several local organizations who offer before and after school programs. Learn about summer enrichment options for students.
Right At School
Right At School programs keep students active, engaged and healthy every day. Participants play group sports and fitness games — and take it outside as much as possible! There are endless opportunities for hands-on learning, exploration and personal growth.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue
Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue is committed to providing high-quality programs for youth during the summer. Their programs specifically focus on keeping kids engaged and active throughout the summer months.
