The 2022-23 school year began with great big smiles and busloads of enthusiasm. Colorful balloons, welcome signs and school mascots greeted students as they entered buildings, while teachers and administrators helped to soothe feelings of anticipation. Families rushed to snap first day of school photos and as the first bell marked a new year of learning and growth, PTSAs welcomed families with coffee and conversation.

The year ahead promises to usher in opportunities to serve students, staff and families with even greater intention and innovation. We welcome to the district new staff positions focused on supporting students through innovations in programming, a focus on well-being, a Director of Student Life, and engagement supports for students served through Special Education programs.
For families, the district has partnered with Bellevue Lifespring and opened the Bellevue Family Hub to better support families with essential resources. In addition, the Bellevue School Board is moving forward in its search for the next District Superintendent. Next up this fall, schools will hold curriculum nights to help introduce families to teachers, learn about their students’ courses, and discover more about school, district, and community programs.
