The 17th completely rebuilt elementary school in the Bellevue School District is nearing completion.  Remaining site work at Puesta del Sol is underway, along with the installation of instructional technology within the building. New furniture installation has begun, and spaces are receiving final finishes.

This project has the added scope of rebuilding an existing access to the school as required by the City of Bellevue. Puesta is designed to be the first negative Net-Zero elementary school in the region.

Move-in Day Coming Soon

Final building inspections will take place on December 16, 2022. The school is on track for students to begin the new year in their new building on January 3, 2023!

This project was funded through a bond measure approved by Bellevue voters in 2014. The district — and the Puesta del Sol community in particular — are grateful and appreciative of the tremendous community support that made this project possible.

The district and the Puesta del Sol leadership team will share additional details in the upcoming weeks as the move-in date approaches. Puesta families can expect weekly updates up until the move, as well as virtual Q&A opportunities. The goal is for students, staff and families to have an idea of what to expect upon arrival on January 3, 2023.
