Translation of letter “A” from English to Chinese over text message bubbles

Families have a right to receive important information from schools in a language they can understand. Bellevue School District must provide interpretation and/or translation services, when needed, to communicate with parents/guardians who have limited English (including parents/guardians with limited speaking, listening, reading or writing fluency in English).

A new Language Access webpage has been developed to include information about these resources and to ensure that BSD families can receive the support they need. This page can be accessed through the “Language Access” link at the top left of BSD’s district website as well as all BSD school websites.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
