students walking into school in unorganized line

Our Mid-West transition team met this past Monday.  We are in the midst of planning for Wilburton students to have the opportunity to visit the school they’ll be attending next year if it is within the Bellevue School District.  For most students that is Enatai or Clyde Hill, but for some students it will be a different Bellevue Elementary School.  Student Ambassadors have been selected from Wilburton, Clyde Hill and Enatai and they will greet students and show them around when they come to visit Enatai and Clyde Hill!  We are excited for the school visits!  We are also excited to be sharing with you soon a Family Survey – we want to hear from you!  Be on the lookout for an email with the link coming soon!  Lastly, we will be inviting Incoming Superintendent Dr. Aramaki to join us for one of our upcoming meetings.

District News:

  • The planning of transportation for routes and schedules for the fall is well under way and on track for the usual communication timeframe of mid to late August. The information below provides a bit more specifics on what you can expect.
  • School start times will remain the same as this year. School start times can be found on each school’s website.
  • Staffing: Human Resources hopes to have staffing tentatively completed for Certificated employees at consolidating schools by May 22. Staffing will continue to be dynamic and there may be changes prior to the first day of school. Building based classified staffing will take place between May 15 and May 31.

Lastly, with so many students and staff changing schools this year, the District is being proactive to provide resources to build community and friendship.  A team of educators is working on schoolwide and classroom social-emotional lessons and materials.  You can learn more about that work here.
