An innovative pilot project born from a collaboration between Bellevue School District, the Washington Initiative for Supported Employment (Wise) and local Rotary Clubs was recently presented by Evergreen Transition teacher, Autumn Cutter, and Assistive Technology Specialist, Erin Treiber, at the annual Community Summit 2024 – Embracing the Challenge: Together We Thrive, organized by the Washington Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) Developmental Disabilities Administration.

The project helped students in BSD’s Evergreen Transition Program develop their digital literacy by creating engaging and interactive websites that showcase their skills and goals for future employment. Nine students took part in the pilot during the 2023-2024 school year and recently showcased their end of term projects. Their accomplishments are shared in Beyond Resumes.

BSD celebrates the achievements of our students and values the support of our community partners, including Northwest Partners for Work Rotary.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
