Congratulations to the 13 Bellevue teachers who recently achieved National Board certification and the 25 Bellevue teachers who achieved National Board renewal this year! In the spring of 2019, six Cherry Crest students decided to “make recess better” and launched a plan to raise funds for the school. Selling donuts door to door, the students donated nearly $500 to the elementary school. After surveying their classmates, the consensus improvement was to add Gaga Ball pits for students to use during recess.Read More

This year twenty-four schools in the Bellevue School District took part in the annual “Cafeteria Challenge” sponsored by the City of Bellevue, Bellevue School District and Bellevue Utilities. Schools competed to produce the least amount of trash sent to landfill, as opposed to recycling or compost. After weighing everything in, Puesta del Sol won the big prize, reducing waste to just 1.77 grams per student – the same weight as a paperclip!Read More
