Principal Message:
Hello wonderful Ardmore Families,

In May we celebrated the contributions of our Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.  We highlighted the rich culture of various communities that represent AAPI in the classroom and school wide.  A special activity we embarked on was read alouds by our 5th grade students.  In May, 5th graders spent time learning about the contributions of our AAPI community and researched a book they could read about AAPI cultures and traditions to our younger grades.  Many students participated in the read alouds by visiting younger grade classrooms and reading their story selected.  The 5th graders did a fantastic job and even came up with reflection questions to engage the young learners in the stories.

We have an amazing group of staff that represent our AAPI community.  We learn so much from each and everyone every day.  It is a privilege to be part of such a racially and ethnically diverse place.  Every days students learn the values of acceptance, community, care and respect.  We are grateful for our staff and it’s such a pleasure getting to work and know them.  Here is a list of our staff and some pictures:

Mrs. Hana Roberts, 2nd Grade Teacher

Ms. Yifan Fu, Special Education Teacher and Ms. Eve Chan, Special Education and MLL Facilitator

General School Assistants: Mr.Daniel Kwan, Mrs. Jenny Keong, Ms. Elaine Lam, Ms. Kathy Lee, Mrs. Jesse Lay, Ms. Sandy Tang

Mr. Khai Vo, school custodian

Mrs. Monica Lo, Assistant Principal

Warmly,

Principal Arroyo

Right At School Program 2022-2023 School Year
Right At School (RAS) program announce that Fall Registration is now open.  And even more exciting – they are giving away After School for Life!  Please see the attached flyer giving more information on that.
Summer Laptop Collection is coming!
We are collecting laptops at the end of the school year.

Students in 5th grade will receive a new laptop when they go to middle school.

Our returning students will receive their current laptop back when we begin school.

If any student is attending summer school, the technology department will prioritize returning these students laptops before it summer school begins.

Please reach out to your student’s teacher if you have any concerns regarding your child not having a school laptop over the summer.  We might be able to provide support!

Help students prepare for laptop collection:

  • Please remind students to save the files they want to keep for next year in their OneDrive and NOT their Desktops. Student Desktops are not linked to OneDrive. The taskbar cloud icon should be blue.
  • Do not remove any BSD Barcode labels.
  • Offensive and excessive amounts of stickers will need to be removed.
