PTSA Participation and Membership | |||
The Ardmore PTSA (Parent, Student, and Teacher Association) is an important part of our school. Did you know that the PTSA runs or funds many things that we assume are just part of the school experience – like field trips, school photos, and funding for classroom supplies?
Our PTSA also leads educational and community events like Science Fair, family fun nights, and multicultural events. PTSA members help in classrooms and support our staff with things like students’ hearing and visual testing. And, in partnership with the Family Connections Center, our PTSA raises funds and goods to help Ardmore students in need. It is only through our PTSA that Ardmore can afford to do these things. The PTSA is 100% volunteer-run and donation-funded. It relies on all of us in the community – parents, teachers, and students – to keep it running. Please consider how you can support the PTSA this year – no matter how small or large, every contribution counts! Here’s how you can support PTSA: · Join or renew your PTSA membership (membership good for 1 year) Members get discounts at national and local businesses including Office Depot, Avis car rentals, Great Wolf Lodge, and more. And, only members get to VOTE on how our PTSA spends its funds, what programs and events we put on, and what class activities we support. Financial assistance with the $12 fee is available through the Family Connections Center if needed. Volunteers make everything we do possible. Whether you can give an hour this year, or an hour a day, you can make a difference at Ardmore! And if you have special skills to share – whether it’s helping to plan fun events, editing our website or emails, joining our financial review, or taking on a leadership role – we’d love to hear from you. Opt in to the Ardmore PTSA newsletter and join our Facebook group to get school news, event invitations, discussions with other parents, and resources shared by teachers. And of course, you can connect in person, PTSA events are a great way for families to make friends! When you help the PTSA, you help Ardmore! |
