STAGE 3: REMOTE/EARLY LEARNER IN-PERSON
IN-PERSON LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES:
- Pre-K through 5th grade in groups less than 15 students phased in beginning with Pre-K through 3rd grade.
- Grades 4-5 added after demonstrated ability to limit transmission.
- Middle school and high school with the following criteria:
- Students receiving special education services
- Students who are multi-language learners
- Students with incomplete grades
- Students desiring mental health services
REMOTE LEARNING:
- Middle Schools
- High Schools
- Students who have chosen the virtual learning model
OTHER STUDENT ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES:
IN-PERSON
- High School: Athletic conditioning at each school by program/sport
REMOTE
- Middle School: Activities and clubs accessible via school website, newsletters, direct emails and announcements.

To move to Stage 4, King County COVID-19 cases must be 50-350 positive cases per 100,000 people over a 14-day period. Cases among staff or students in BSD buildings needs to remain low and the spread of COVID-19 impacting BSD facilities needs to be minimized by the implementation of risk mitigation strategies including contact tracing. The District will notify the community two-weeks prior to moving to the next stage that includes bringing more students back to buildings.
