Greetings from Bellevue High School
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! The Bellevue High staff is looking forward to meeting and reconnecting with all of our students on the first day of school, Thursday, August 30. Remember, classes now start at 8:00am and end at 3:00pm. Tutorial is from 3:00pm—3:30pm, M,T,Th,F.
We are very excited to begin another school year. It is our intent to communicate often and clearly in order to keep students and families informed and engaged in our ongoing quest to ensure every student and family receives the very best at BHS.
Looking ahead, we remain committed to providing our students with a rigorous, college preparatory curriculum that will prepare each and every student for success in college, career, and life. You will continue to hear about our goals of helping students feel connected, 100% graduation, and eliminating the achievement & opportunity gaps. We continue to appreciates the support of our PTSA, parents, staff, and community. Stay tuned throughout the year for information and updates related to programs, activities, and instructional focus. By making these available online, parents will be able to access the forms and information when it is most convenient for them. Taking Care of Business Days – Thursday/Friday, August 23-24
Mark Taking Care of Business (TCOB) day on your calendar. Students Pay fees, take school pictures, obtain a locker assignment, deposit money in their lunch account, receive an Orca Card if applicable and receive a laptop if they are a returning student. A Network Use Agreement, must be printed, signed and brought in to receive a laptop. All new students to BHS will receive their laptops on Tuesday, September 4th.
All students are required to have their photo taken. Payment for picture packages is due when photos are taken. Ordering information can be found here: http://bsd405.org/bhs/2018/08/back-to-school/. Picture retakes will be available on September 11th.
Student Course Schedules
Returning students can view their course schedules using StudentVue once they pick up their laptop at TCOB. New students will receive their schedules during Orientation which is on August 24th from 8-10am for new 10th, 11th and 12th graders and on August 29th for 9th graders.
If you believe your schedule has an error, please complete a Schedule Correction From and submit the completed form to the Main Office or to the Counseling Center.
SCHEDULE CORRECTIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR CORE CLASSES ONLY. If you are requesting a schedule correction you must meet at least one of the six criteria:
- Incomplete Schedule. 9th and 10th graders must be enrolled in seven classes and 11th and 12th graders must have a minimum of six classes. (Open 1st or 7th period only).
- Seniors missing a course required for graduation
- Prerequisite courses not completed (or previously failed)
- Time conflict with a course taken at another school
- Scheduled for the same course twice
- Have already taken this class.
