Hello Bellevue High School Students and Families,

This is just a friendly notice that Washington State Smarter Balanced Testing will occur over the weeks of May 22 and May 29. As such, we will be running a modified late start bell schedule on testing days during these weeks.

Please note that all 10th grade students are required to take the SBA, unless otherwise stipulated by an individual plan. This is regardless of current graduation pathway status. Additionally, some 11th and 12th grade students that have yet to meet this graduation requirement are also required to test. 11th and 12th grade students that are required to test will be emailed separately.

If you/your student misses one of the scheduled testing days, make up testing will occur in the library on Friday, May 26 and Friday, June 2.

All 9th grade students, as well as any 11th or 12th grade students that have met this graduation pathway, will have a late start on May 24, 25, 31 and June 1.

We ask that any students not testing on these days make every possible effort to refrain from arriving on campus until 15 minutes before the start of the day’s first period. However, if arriving to school later on testing days represents a hardship for any student/family, we will have designated spaces for students to congregate until the start of class. If you would like to view the bell schedule for these weeks, you may do so at the following attachment: SBA 2023 Modified Schedule (007).docx

*Testing locations for specific assessments will be posted outside the main office and in the commons no later than Monday of each testing week.

Sincerely, Bellevue High School Administration
