School resumes Monday, April 19 and opportunities for in-person instruction will be available for students by educators who wish to instruct in-person, and online for other students. All grades remote learning if not attending in-person.

As more students return to in person learning at Cherry Crest Elementary school, we are finding that dismissal and  student pickup is taking longer than normal.  Given the COVID-19 landscape, it is understandable that many families choose to drive their children to school.  At the same time, we want to highlight bus service as a safe and efficient option for your child to get to and from school.

As the north feeder school for the Advanced Learning program, Cherry Crest bus service extends beyond our school boundaries into the Ardmore, Bennett, Sherwood Forest and Stevenson attendance areas.   However, in order to be eligible for bus service, families must have chosen the “Need Transportation” option when completing the BSD Intent to Return Survey in July 2020 or again in winter 2021.

In order to see if your child is currently eligible for bus service, please view this list of eligible students (sorted numerically by student number to protect student identity).

  • If your child’s student number does not show up on this list and you want to utilize Cherry Crest bus service, you can contact the Cherry Crest office and request to be added.
  • Email your student(s) full name and student id number to
    • We will coordinate with transportation department to get you added.  You will then subsequently receive information and updates from the BSD transportation department.
    • Note that it will take ~5 days for transportation to process your request
