Cherry Crest Families,

This post has information about childcare options at Cherry Crest for the 2021-22 school year.

In the spring of 2021, Bellevue School District made the difficult decision to close down their before & after care program known as BOOST and are now contracting these services to two different vendors – Bellevue Boys and Girls Club (BBGC) and a new vendor to BSD called Right at School.  At Cherry Crest, we have had BBGC operate on site for many years with great success.  After meeting with the BBGC staff, Cherry Crest administration made the decision to move forward singularly with BBGC for 2021-22.  Given that BBGC will be the only on site provider, they will utilize current early learning classrooms on site as well as space in our gym and café after school.  Providing these spaces allows for BBGC to significantly increase after care capacity from what BBGC currently has had in 2021 (from 30 up to 70 students).

If you have need for childcare services after school in 2021-22, I encourage families to visit the BBGC website to register and enroll.  In order to support our planning, please do us the favor of responding to this brief survey indicating overall demand for onsite childcare.  BBGC Child Care @ CC Surevy

Registration is currently open.    Here is the link for an overview of our program and registration: https://www.bgcbellevue.org/Programs/Project-Learn-Afterschool-Program-21-22.   If you are placed on a waitlist, all is not lost as capacity may be increased with further relaxation of COVID distancing restrictions issued this summer.

The BBGC program will operate Monday, September 13, 2021 through Friday, June 10, 2022 from school release time until 6:30pm, even on Wednesdays.  They offer free programs to BSD employees and offer a robust scholarship program for families as well.

As a final note, we are currently exploring options for Bellevue Boys and Girls Club to provide before school care for students prior to the school day (for an additional fee).  If this would be of interest to you, please take a moment to indicate so via this brief poll.
