G-5 Promotion Activities!

We’re excited to have 2 ways to celebrate our 5th graders as we reach the end of this very unusual year. On Wednesday June 16th, we have one in-person promotion activity at Cherry Crest, and one virtual promotion activity at 6 pm- you are welcome to attend one or both!

In Person Teacher Meet & Greet

  • Students invited by teacher to 30 minute classroom based promotion activities in the undercover area on Wednesday June 16
  • 9:30 - Atia
  • 10:15 - Hemker
  • 11:00 – Jessa
  • 11:45 – Tamayo
  • 12:30 – Regala
  • 1:15 – Stevens
  • Student attends with max 2 parents – no siblings please
  • Parking available in school lot.  Then, walk around north side of school to undercover area
  • Masks are required for all participants
  • Students collect a goodie bag and G5 t-shirt
  • Take picture with teacher(s) & receive G5 promotion certificate

 

Evening G5 Promotion Ceremony – LIVE TEAMS Event @ 6 pm 

  • Students, parents and extended family invited to join this live virtual teams ceremony including teacher and class speakers, slide show and music

Orchestra Rehearsal In-person

Rehearsals run from 2:45 – 3:15 for students in Atia and Hemkers’s class and from 3:30 – 4:00 for students in Tamayo and Regala

Logistical Details for Rehearsal:

  • Drop off will be 5-10 minutes before class starts please.
  • Please send your student with a complete paper copy of the linked health attestation: https://bsd405.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/BSD-Health-Check-Print-Version-English.pdf
  • I will greet students outside in the car drop off area to welcome students, collect their health attestations and conduct temperature checks and hand sanitizing before entering the music room.
  • If you wish to wait for your child, parents can exit the drop off area and circle back around parking in one of the spots on the outer ring of the parking lot.
  • Students must wear masks upon arrival and during the rehearsal.
  • Student spacing in the music room is physically distanced with a maximum class size of 15.
  • Students should bring their music books and a stand (I have extras if they don’t have a stand)
