Thank you to our PTSA for showing such appreciation to our staff last week. From the wonderful lunch on Tuesday to the array of treats and surprises throughout the week, the PTSA’s kindness brightened our days and strengthened our sense of community. Thank you!

Smarter Balanced Assessment and Modified Schedules

Students will take the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) as scheduled below:

  • May14: Math Computer Adaptive Assessment
  • May 16: Math Performance Task
  • All 8th Grade students will take the (Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS) on May 20 and May 21 during their Science class (regular bell schedule on these days).

Students should come to school on these days with a fully-charged laptop and wired headphones (no Bluetooth/wireless headphones). Students do not need to make any other special preparations for the test apart from getting rest the night before and coming to school prepared to do their best.

Bellevue Schools Foundation: Donate to Dedicate

Bellevue Schools Foundation is offering the opportunity to make a donation in honor of a teacher or staff member, which will not only trigger an acknowledgement to the individual the gift is made in honor of, but it will also provide critical resources to our school, as well as the other 27 schools across Bellevue School District. Chinook 2024 Musical: The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition

Come join us in Bikini Bottom for a tale of heroic friendship starring SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and a whole cast and crew under the sea. This performance is great for the whole family to enjoy! Chinook students have been hard at work to bring this show to life and can’t wait to show you. Tickets on sale soon!

All performances are at Bellevue High School PAC. Matinee (2pm) performances feature a special “Meet & Greet” after the show.


Share Your Feedback: Transportation Survey

The Bellevue School District’s Safety and Security and Transportation departments are working closely with Bellevue Police and Transportation departments to tackle traffic congestion and safety concerns around our schools.

Transportation Forums were held in person on April 25 and online on May 1. If you were unable to attend, we’d still like to hear from you!  Please complete our transportation survey by May 31.

Attend the Fentanyl Community Outreach Event Presented in Mandarin 

Please join us for our third fentanyl community outreach event: One Pill Can Kill. Deaths by fentanyl poisoning are on the rise in King County, and a tiny amount can be deadly. Attend the event to hear from medical professionals, law enforcement, and mental health professionals on what fentanyl is, what we are seeing in our community, and how we can prevent accidental death by fentanyl.

This event will be presented entirely in Mandarin Chinese. Mandarin-speaking families and community members are invited to learn about the danger of opioids and learn how to keep schools and communities healthy and safe.

Chinook Mariners Day: Mariners vs. Angels!

Enjoy a day at the ballpark with your Chinook community! May 31st join us in cheering on the Mariners vs. the LA Angels at our Chinook/Mariners Family night!!! We are very excited to have our families all gathered together and enjoy a night game for what looks to be an exciting season for the Mariners!

Computer Science Family Engagement Night

We are excited to invite you to the BSD PreK-8th Grade Computer Science Family Engagement Night. Join us to learn about the Computer Science learning opportunities for your student in elementary school, middle school, and beyond! Hear from an exciting guest speaker and community partners. Childcare and free pizza will be provided.
