College Bound Scholarship Program
The College Bound Scholarship is a state-funded program and scholarship administered by the Washington Student Achievement Council. It is an early commitment of state financial aid to eligible Washington State students enrolled in middle school who fulfill the College Bound Scholarship pledge.
Student Eligibility & Enrollment
Washington State public school students who meet one of the following requirements are automatically enrolled in College Bound:
- Students in public school and eligible for free-and-reduced price lunch in 7th, 8th, or newly eligible in 9th grade. Students may NOT sign up for the scholarship after this point. (Families must complete a free-reduced lunch application here in order to be enrolled in College Bound)
- Students who are in state foster care, or a dependent of the state between 7th grade and high school graduation.
Eligible Washington Colleges and Universities
College Bound combines with other state financial aid to cover average tuition (at public college rates), some fees, and a small book allowance at more than 60 colleges and universities in Washington.
