This year the City of Bellevue and Bellevue School District issued a challenge to schools to launch education campaigns to help reduce waste at lunch. The schools with the three lowest weights for garbage per student won. On November 13th, our Green Team measured the volume of garbage generated from one day at lunch. Students on Green Team worked very hard to help promote waste reduction, recycling, and composting. On December 1st, our school was presented the “Bee a Waste Reducer” trophy made from recycled materials with our name engraved on it for us to keep. Great work students, staff and parents for helping us win!
