The Life Skills Curriculum Committee has been postponed until Fall 2017.

Purpose

The purpose of the Life Skills Curriculum Instructional Material Adoption Committee is to carry out the textbook selection process and make a recommendation to the Instructional Materials Committee based upon objective evidence gathered during the process. The committee will include teacher representatives, building/district administration and parent/guardian/family representatives. The committee will be facilitated by Rebecca Mayes, Special Education Technology Curriculum Coach.

Role

The role of the members of Life Skills Curriculum Instructional Material Adoption Committee is:

  • Attend 3-4 scheduled meetings between May 2017 – Feb 2018
  • Serve as a communication link to the schools and/or programs you represent
  • Assist in collecting data regarding the instructional materials under consideration
  • Through a consensus process, make a formal recommendation to the Instructional Materials Committee
