Have a question? Let's Talk.

All youth will be able to ride transit for free by showing one of the following:

  • Tapping your ORCA card when you board and exit
  • Showing your current high school or middle school student ID card
  • If you don’t have either, you can still ride for free

A recently approved Washington State measure will allow youth ages 18 and under to ride public transit for free come September.

All BSD student issued ORCA cards from the 2021-22 school year will become your Free Youth Transit Pass in September, so do not throw away your ORCA card.

When Will ORCA Cards Be Available?

ORCA cards will be available for students at each high school’s or choice school’s Taking Care of Business / Orientation Day. Every student who was issued an ORCA card from the 2021-22 school year needs to stop by the ORCA table with their ORCA card for an instructions label on how to register their ORCA card.

At the Schools

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
