Quarantine and Illness

  • Please do not send your children to school with any symptoms noted on the Health Check. Students demonstrating any of these symptoms will be sent home.
  • If staff or a student tests positive for COVID-19, then they need to isolate at home for 10 days after their symptoms started. They can return to the school building if they meet the following criteria: It has been 10 days after their symptoms started and at least 24 hours have passed since their fever resolved (without fever reducing medications) and their symptoms have improved.
  • If a person test positive for COVID-19 but does not have symptoms, they need to isolate at home for 10 days from their positive COVID-19 test.
  • If staff or a student is a close contact of someone who tested positive for COVID-19, they need to quarantine at home for 14 days from their last date of close contact with this person.  They still need to quarantine at home for 14 days even if their COVID-19 test is negative.
  • When a student is quarantined, their teaching will be asynchronous. It is important that parents / guardians communicate with their teacher so that their student continues to learn
