In this newsletter we wanted to give Enatai families a few brief updates as we head into Spring Break.  We look forward to seeing all of our students virtually the week of April 19th and then returning to in-person instruction for our hybrid students on April 26th and our virtual students remaining virtual!

Virtual Learning the Week of April 19th for all Enatai Students

As shared previously in this newsletter, all classes will be virtual the week of April 19th.  Classroom and specialist teachers will be sending calendar invites to students to update their calendars in Teams with invitations unique to this week.  We encourage families to look over the calendar for the week because there are adjustments to specialist times for this week to ensure students have time to meet in small groups with teachers and other staff in the afternoons (please know that at the time of publication of this newsletter not all calendar updates have been sent with teachers updating calendars through April 18th).

Updates from In-Person Learning

It has been an amazing week having all of our in-person students in the building!  Staff have truly enjoyed reconnecting with students and families!

Members of Enatai’s Building Safety Team wanted to offer the following as we continue to refine our systems for all of our students from Prek through 5th grade.  If you are driving in to Enatai to pick up your student(s) after school regardless of which hybrid block they attend, please consider the following requests from the Enatai staff:

  • If you would like to get out of your car, you will need to utilize one of the numerous parking spots throughout our lot.
  • Please DO NOT USE the 3-4 spots that are reserved for our Preschool/Early Learning Program unless you have a student in the preschool program.
  • If you will not be parking, or are unable to find a spot please remain in your vehicle and join the line of cars in the loop.  Students waiting to be picked up are being lined up along the loop in a socially distanced manner and, with the assistance of numerous staff members, will be on the lookout for their vehicle.
  • Please stay in the line and move forward as the line moves forward.  Do not attempt to drive to an open spot in the line. Cars will be asked to move forward as soon as students are loaded in.
  • In either situation please remember to wear a mask once you enter campus (even if you are simply sitting in your car) in order to keep our community safe!

We recognize that families are relearning the pick-up/drop-off routine, and we want to help make sure this part of our day is safe for students, staff, and drivers.

Our Connected Community

As some of our eagles return to the building and others remain online and a few more join our flock, our PBIS team has created a social team to keep our community connected.

In the next coming days, you and our Enatai Eagles will see the following Team appear in your learner’s Teams:

You can get to that team by clicking here 👉🏼Let’s Go,  Enatai Eagles 20-21!

Each week our community will be able to find communal items such as announcements and other whole school happenings such as our Weekly Announcements from our Administrators, Mover of the Month, Mood Meter Check Ins, and Wednesday Wonderings!

Mover of the Month is selected at random from those who post in our Fitness Log. Students are encouraged to post once a day throughout the month; each post is an entry for their name to be drawn. Here’s the announcement about our Mover of the Month for March.

Grateful for our Enatai PTSA

Thank you PTSA for your generous gift of an Enatai Eagle shirt for every student and staff member and a jump rope for every student! Is your child new to Enatai or new to an Enatai virtual classroom? Or possibly you just haven’t yet picked up your child’s PTSA sponsored Eagle T-Shirt and jump rope! No problem! We have lots of extras for students. Please stop by the main office during school hours to pick up your child’s Enatai T-shirt and jump rope.  Just knock on the window or call ahead 425-456-5200 and we’ll be glad to help you pick up these items!

As we look towards next year, our PTSA is still seeking members interested in helping lead this critical organization.  We are looking for individuals or teams of individuals who would be interested in serving on Enatai’s PTSA Executive Board as President(s) and Vice-President(s).  If you are interested or would like to know more, please reach out to Principal Amy MacDonald (macdonalda@bsd405.org) for more information.
