Indigenous Peoples’ Day Acknowledgement

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples. On Monday, October 10, we join others around the country and within our region to celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

Indigenous Peoples’ Day is a celebration of the cultures and traditions of the Indigenous people, past and present. We recognize our Indigenous community for their enduring impact on our communities today. The Bellevue School District thanks the caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
